40,000 mile test rants & raves
I can't recall sitting in such a conservatively styled new sedan since I sat in a Hyundai Sonata. It seems bystanders find this body more interesting than I do: Lots of stares, and even a few questions.
--Schroeder

More responsive and nimble than cars half its size.
--Spence

This car is kind of bland to look at, and a bit bland when driven sedately--as with three other adults on board. Driven like a teenager, with nobody on board, it's pretty rewarding. Although the tires seem to howl a bit too readily.
--Markus

I think this car is quite handsome inside and out--even if it's a Brooks Brothers-style understatement--but the Maxima's rear beam axle doesn't behave as well as a Camry's multilink rear. Lots of tire-induced 'thocking'-noise only highlights the beam's occasional abrupt response.
--Padgett

Loved this car for vacations. Responsive. Huge trunk. Comfortable seats. Stealth appearance. A winner in my book.
--Burke

It seems to do everything easily and quietly: Starts, idles, shifts, accelerates. The lack of road and engine noise is a real plus.
--Mathews
