This is my 1992 Maxima SE.  In my attempt to "enjoy the ride" I decided to make some minor modifications.  First, I improved the breathing by getting Stillen's Intake and a Remus Muffler.  I chose the Remus not for performance, but for the looks.  I next quickened up the shifts by installing the Stillen Short throw shifter.  Next I improved the braking by installing the Stillen/Brembo brake kit with the Metal Matrix Pads.  Following that I purchased the complete suspension kit from Stillen.  Finally, I bought the 16 inch TSW Imola's and wrapped them in Nitto NT450's.  The car is basically done.  It's at the point where it's a very fun daily driver!

My name's Andy Pearson, I'm 16 from Kansas City MO.  I have owned my '93 Maxima GXE for about a year now.  It has 70K+ miles, Bose sound system and the special tan leather package.  Through Stillen I have added a Stillen K&N filtercharger, cat-back GReddy exhaust system and Pirelli HP tires.  Soon I plan to drop my Maxima 1.75 in. with Intrax springs and Tokico shocks.  I will also be adding much needed thicker sway bars. Pictures are soon to come!

Alright, here it is. Da Maxima !!! This is my 94 Maxima with a Pacific ground effects kit, 17" Enkei rims, 4 12" Bostwick woofers, factory Bose speaker system, Sony 2100G amp, a pair of JBL tweeters, Kenwood head unit, 10 Disc Kenwood changer, and you can't tell from this picture but I also had the interior redone in green crush velvet w/ white leather. I will get a picture of that for you guys to admire in a couple of weeks. I am also going to change the wing to a super sport mid-wing. I also have the phantom headlight covers on order. Of course I will send updated photos. My goal is to get into Lowrider Magazine.

I've owned my cream 91 SE for almost a year.  It was bought used with a few non performance mods.  For now it's got those side marker lights that are mounted on the right and left side quarter panel.  In addition to the factory Bose speakers and amps, a Sony in dash CD player and changer control has been added.  It's the CDX-U8000 model, I've got a 10 disk changer in the trunk.  There's also a Clifford car alarm with window, trunk, and hood sensors.  I can roll down the windows, start the car, and pop the trunk.  It took a while to figure out what those 4 buttons did.  The car just did 112K's last month and the only problem it has is that darn LCD clock on the dash.  Unfortunately I had to give up the keys to my little sister since she needed a car for school.  Yea, it's an auto (eeechh).  Future plans, when I make some money, include GReddy exhuast, some sort of K&N Akimoto intake, springs, headers.  But by the time I make a decent salary it would be more sensible to purchase a later model Max!

I have a 1993 maxima, all equiped. leather, sunroof, 10 disc audio, digital instruments, etc... The problem is with the transmission. The car has 30,000 milles and the transmission is beeing repaired. In Mexico we have problems with the parts, because it is an imported car. I know about problems in the transmission of several automatics. Could you give me some comments? Besides this, the car is excellent.

Hey there, I have a 90 Maxima SE. Basically, I have concentrated on leisure mods, but I am on the verge of devirginizing the stock suspension and various engine components. Attached are photos of the cars exterior, and what you can see (poor photo) of the equipment mounted in the car.

My '94 SE is dark green (black emerald) and has around 28k miles. It is a 4speed automatic with the Bose stereo system which I upgraded. I installed a Pioneer CD player and amplified subwoofers. The car also has an aftermarket sunroof and tan cloth interior. I plan on installing the front tower brace, intake modification, and new exhaust. It is a joy to drive. Right now I don't have a picture of it, but I'm working on that...

I own an '89 Maxima GXE, full luxury options: Leather, pw/ps/pd, sunroof, etc. I've added a Dinan computer chip upgrade, a Dynomax Ultra Flow muffler, a high intake K&N air filter cone, NGK platium plugs and wires, and a custom ram air kit. All these mods were good for about 35 or so HP resulting in a 16.84 @ 81.4 mph 1/4 mile time. Quite respectable for an 8 year old luxury sedan but not enough to compete with any sports car of high caliber. I met a fellow with a turbo charged Maxima but unfortunately his transmission gave out on him. Turbochargers and automatic transmissions don't mix although they are good for low 14 second quarter miles. The same guy had previously used a nitrous oxide system which gave him high 14 sec passes with no trouble at all. That is the most recent modification I've done and I'll let you know how it turns out this April during the next import race in Texas. :)

I own a black 1992 Maxima GTE. It now has 118,000 hard miles, equal city and highway driving. I've had to rebuild the transmission at 110,000 miles. The car is OK; rides smooth, but a little sluggish on the pickup. It's been through many snow storms and other outdoor abuses. The car has been relatively reliable except for the transmission. I hate the sound of the beepy horn: can't they install a horn commensurate with the model and price of the car?

I purchased a 1993 Maxima SE about six months ago. It is white w/black leather, Bose, Automatic, Sunroof. I think it has everything available. I have been very pleased except for some minor things. It has the glossy alloy directional factory wheels and they collect brake so much brake dust that they are nearly black within 100 miles after washing. At first I thought something was wrong, but I have noticed this on others with the same wheels. If anyone has any suggestions to alleviate this problem, please let me know. I have two friend with Maximas and all three of our cars seem to really wear the front tires badly. I am very easy cornering but still the problem exists. Otherwise I am very happy with the car.

What's up maxima owners. I own a 89 max. with about 90k on the odometer. I tend to this car, so much that my girlfriend sometimes gets jealous. She (the car) is a burgundy pearl color with aftermarket rims. I've installed a 10 disc sony cd-changer w/ remote to the factory Bose audio system. I too have had to rebuild the transmission due to computer problems which messed up the pressure of the transmission fluid. After a big repair she was soon on the road. My stock rims also picked up brake dust very quickly, but after I bought my five star polished alloy rims the problem slowed down. Right now I'm thinking of repainting the spoiler, grill, and trim because of sunfading. My big question to you owners is where the hell can I get some upgrades. By upgrades I mean anything pertaining to engine, exhaust, intake, ground effects, etc... If there are any magazines out there for Maximas let me know. Thanks.
